First half oh mast top glued

Something visible for a change. Managed to glue the first half of new mast top today. Took some time to get it to fit properly, but finally with the help of japanese saw I made it.

Scarf is approx 1:16 which is adequate since they recommend between 1:8 to 1:12.

After the SP epoxy cures I will shape the new half and after that take the remaining old half away. I only removed only one half since I wanted it to be easier to shape the new piece to be exactly like the original.

What a record!

Found I, Flathead during my US trip. This is the third record in Ry Cooder’s trilogy. Simply said, this is awsome. Again proves that when you know what you are doing you do not need to do any tricks. Mainly guitar, drums, bass and sometimes accordion with Flaco Jiménez. A excellent roots record which should be played loud! Like Ry Cooder self says in the booklet: “One more thing. I do not want to hear that any of you are using my record for some candy-ass background scenario or personal mood trick of your own. I want you to understand this. Get in the vechile and play this damn thing loud and drive, where to I don’t much care……” So follow the rules, jump in your car and play this loud! This really Works!

Interesting if this get’s Grammy as the two previous ones of the trilogy. This sure earns it!

Sorry, cant do it

Pretty irritating. This situation brings to my mind “Cola-Olli”, finnish guy who tried to make world record by drinking 1,5L of Coca-Cola fast. He couldn’t accomplish the task and said “I cant do it, too much bubbles”.  My case has no bubbles, merely it is a case of lacking the time. Launch is behind approx 5 layers of varnish but time runs out. Seems that I must accept the reality and just continue. Last year I stopped working in august and started again on this year’s april. Now I seem to have spirit to keep going, time is little bit short but at least sundays seem to be available, at least randomly. We’ll see.
