OpenCPN updated to 5.0 and new charts for Finland
Purchased latest finnish charts from o-charts site. Price was 36 euros, includes one year updates and possibility to use on two machines.
First I purchased the maps from o-charts pages and then installed the enc plugin and activated it. It is needed since the maps are crypted.
After a while the maps are downloadable – you get an email that the package is downloadable – and since my raspberrypi was connected to internet I could download and install them directly within OpenCPN from main menu -> Charts:
Program asks for credentials to o-charts, asks to which machine will the maps be assigned, downloads them and installs. After all this my boat has new charts for finnish waters:
