s/y Johanna
Johanna is the other of two boats which were built 1949 to a design by Knud Reimers. Johanna’s orginal name was Blanzeflor and sister’s name was Tormentoso. I found the drawings I found from Stockholms Maritime Museum with the help of the name Tormentoso. I have one of Tormentoso’s orginal sail bags from 1949 with the text Ratsey&Lapthorn on it in addition to texts Tormentoso and jib 3. Seems that they got mixed up during the delivery?
Hull: mahogany on steel and oak frames, deck teak, doghouse teak
Length: 10,50 metres, approx 35 feet
beam: 2,80 m, approx 9 feet
draught: 1,96 m, approx 6 feet
displacement: 9 ton
sail area: 50 m2 (mainsail and fore triangle)
