OpenCPN and GRIB

Downloaded GRIB info from www.grib.us to OpenCPN. Pretty simple to show wheather info.

OpenCPN story added

Added a page of OpenCPN  here. There you can at least see how 1.3.6 version looks like with vector charts.

NavigationPC and OpenCPN

Just bought a eeepc which will be used as a navigation PC. I installed Linux on it since iit came with XP Home. Distribution used was Mepis 8.5. For plotting software I installed opencpn which works well with touchscreens. I am using a external 8,4″ touchscreen which will find a suitable place outside.

First tests were promising and also the touchscreen worked well after I installed it’s configuration program.
